Before I dive into the reasons as to why I have made the decision to start Lincoln Green Finance, I would like to let you know why I picked the name Lincoln Green Finance.
I grew up in the suburb of Belvedere, specifically Lincoln Green, in Harare, Zimbabwe. I chose Lincoln Green because not only does it have an association to me, but it sounds prestigious enough to sound like it is the name of a top investment bank. I actually have plans to name my investment company “Lincoln Green Capital” in the future. Additionally, Lincoln Green is associated with Robin Hood who is famously known as an individual who helped the poor. I am not saying the reader of this is poor, but I seek to enrich your financial knowledge with this newsletter. Lastly, Lincoln Green has the word “green” which in finance means profit or gains. By me doing this newsletter, my main aim is to provide you with knowledge that will hopefully assist you with your investment decisions.
This newsletter is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. Occasionally, I post Bloomberg news headlines or Financial Times posts on my Instagram stories. The feedback I have received from doing so has been positive as a lot of my peers are interested in shares and therefore I found it beneficial for both my followers and I to be able to publish my opinions on a website like Substack, allowing a more centralised and accessible page to you all. The love that I have with finance is that it allows you to be artistic. When I read annual reports of various companies and letters from Warren Buffett and Daniel S. Loeb, I see poetry and art. When you buy shares in a company, you trust their objectives and you are hopeful of who they could be. This is similar to you marrying someone. You become involved in their activities and you would like to see them grow. Investing in shares is not different in you investing into the friendships and relationships that you have! I envision myself being a prominent financial mogul that helps others seek financial independence. Seeing people succeed due to my assistance makes me extremely happy.
So once again, welcome to my newsletter and my main goal is to share my knowledge with you all and to also expand my knowledge as well!
Kind regards,
Nqobani Ndebele
Well done on the start of your newsletter
